You heard the phrase "we are all created equal". It's in important documents and is in many of our underlying philosophies. You may not believe it, but it seems to permeate in many aspects of our culture.

I've wanted to believe it. I think I use to believe it.

However..... I don't believe it, and I'm happy to say that. I actually think that it's a good thing to NOT believe it.

Here's why...

If you truly believe that everyone is created equal and given that same chances to be fruitful in this world, you end up with 1 of 2 thoughts. One is you have your life together (financially, physically, emotional, etc). If you think we all have the same chances, you think that YOU did the work to have a blessed life. OR. Scenario two, you don't have your stuff together (same aspects) and you have to blame yourself because you didn't take care of your stuff.

The TRUTH. God doesn't dish out equality. He does dish out opportunity. Some of us have more and some have less. Those with more, have just that. An opportunity.

Don't believe you got where you are at because of you.

You didn't decide

your IQ,

your parents,

your ethnicity,

your era that you were born into,

your religion that you were born into,

your diseases,

your gifts,

your athletic ability,

your DNA.
